About Us

Kinwat Shikshan Sanstha’s, Baliram Patil Arts, Commerce and Science College was  established  in the year 1972 and is  affiliated  to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded  (MS).The  college  is recognized  under UGC’s 2 (f) and 12 (b). It is the only college in the town having commerce and science stream at UG level. The Institution being the oldest and multifaculty UG College, it attracts large number of the students.

The college has a total strength of 844 students, of which 493 are male and 351 female. 51 % students belong to reserved, backward and poor socio – economic background. 
The institution provides sports, NSS, NCC, cultural and allied facilities to its students. In addition to this, the institution has Women’s cell, girls, hostel, boy’s hostel, anti- ragging cell and a well-equipped library. 

The college has qualified and devoted faculty taking its number to 23. In addition to the permanent faculty, the college engages qualified visiting faculty in various subjects numbering ‘14’. The college has ‘13’ members engaged in non-teaching and administrative departments. The college offers three UG courses (BA, B.Com and B.Sc) having ‘14’ different departments (Arts -07, Commerce -01, Science -06). Our  faculty  remains  active  in cultivating  research culture in  the premises   through  undertaking  UGC- MRP’s and pursuing  doctoral  programmes. 10 faculty members of our college are Ph.D, ‘05’ are M.Phill and ‘06’ are pursuing their doctoral studies. 06 of our faculty members are recognized as research guides of S.R.T.M.U. Nanded. Two research students completed their Ph.D. in zoology from this institution and 08 students are pursuing their doctoral program under the supervision of our faculty members from various departments.

We encourage our faculty to organize, participate and contribute in the seminars, workshops and conference. The  institution feels proud  of being  serving  the rural   and tribal  masses  educationally  and socially, thus  bringing  light into  their   lives and contributing in the    national  development  through strengthening  its human  resource. In January 2004, the college had successfully faced the first cycle of NAAC with ‘C++’ grade. In september 2017, the college had sucessfully faced second cycle of NAAC with B+ Grade.
